Ask About English Q44: 'depreciation'

Hi,

What is the difference between depreciation and deterioration ?

Thanks

Hi,

Basically depreciation is

a decrease or loss in value, because of age, wear, or market conditions.

whereas deterioration is

the decline in the quality of equipment or structures over a period of time
because of chemical or physical action of the environment.

Hope this answers your question

Matt
