"to face the music"


definition: to accept the unpleasant consequences, especially of your own actions

(postavit se, celit kritice, sníst si)

examples: "It's time to face the music, and accept your chocolate addiction."

"You should tell Nick about you affair now, go home and face the music"


origin:
Comes from the British military. When someone was court marshaled, there would be a military drum squad playing, hence face the music. The term drummed out of the military came from this practice.
