AAE Q106: 'I do appreciate'

Hi,

I am confused about using "do" in cases like this: "I do appreciate ..." and "I appreciate ...".

Is the meaning the same or not?

Hi Jozef,

In the case "I do appreciate" we are using what is called 'the emphatic do', which adds stress and emphasis to the sentence.
