Phrase of the Day 151: 'in the pink'

"to be/feel in the pink"

definition: to be in good health and ready to go.

example: "I've been training for the marathon and I'm feeling in the pink."

origin: In traditional English fox hunting, hunters wore scarlet coloured jackets called pinks. If you are wearing your pink, you are ready to go hunting.
